Bad Dream Brigade

Bad Dream Brigade is a bed-time interactive story telling game. It was developed in-house Holycow Productions under an 8-month time period. The game features a few free stories and several other paid ones that users can purchase. It also features a few mini-games that was approved by 3-7 y/o’s as super fun. It received several positive feedbacks after the release. I gained a lot of exposure to script-based tweening, Audio mixing in game engines and Unity’s UI system.

Details


  • Created a rapid prototype of the animated UI and HUD for the initial stage of the game.

  • Created a unity plugin for in-house use that allows directors and producers to create interactive stories.

  • Implemented a script-based tween system in the plugin that sped up the process of creating these stories.

  • Setup the audio mixer system that allowed pre-configured side chaining, ducking and other effects for different audio streams such as voice, Special FX, Background music etc.

  • Fused a robust 2D animation plugin into our plugin that allowed for seamless 2D character animation.

  • Wrote sophisticated editor scripts for Unity’s that extended the unity editor to work specifically for this project. This helped the development process quite a bit.

  • Implemented for front-end and back-end for In-App purchases

  • Implemented banner-ads, interstitial ads and reward ad videos into the game.

  • Also implemented crash-analytics and player-analytics and some Google Play Games Services like achievements and leaderboards.
