Fate Of War
Fate of War was an ambitious MMO battle arena game project for PC by Psycopatch Studios. It was outsourced to a Rai TechIntro, a company where I was hired as a gameplay/UI programmer to work on this project. The project was later cancelled, but nevertheless, during the time I worked on it, I got to interact with the highly skilled and motivated folks at Psycopatch.

Details –
Created a rapid prototype of the animated UI and HUD for the initial stage of the game. The remote team was very impressed.
Implemented a Multiplayer hosting, matchmaking & joining system along with the UI.
Implemented a Client-Server architecture with a simple authoritative server using Photon for Unity.
Implemented a client-side prediction system to handle network latency. I went through several research papers and tutorials to create something robust. The team found it very effective.
Created narrow AI for NPC characters using a behavior-tree based plugin for unity.
Created complex animation blend-trees for player and few NPC character and bound them to user input on PC.
Created several attack VFX from scratch using PopcornFX and brought them into the engine and bound them to animation and user input. It turned to be pretty decent.
